Kayla Jenkins, from Willis, Texas, has made the decision to continue her volleyball career while pursuing her degree in Elementary Education at the University of the Southwest.

Kayla played last year, her freshman season, at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. She started and played all positions for the Bearcats. During her High School career, she started three years as a Setter at 4A Willis High School and in the process was named to the All-District team for three years and All-County team her Senior year.

As a multiple sport athlete (volleyball, golf, basketball, and softball) in High School, Kayla was also a member of the National Honor Society for two years, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was involved in several service groups. Kayla is the daughter of Keith and Teresa Jenkins and has one brother named Kyle who attends the University of Texas at Arlington.
