
Mustang softball went on the road to battle with Bacone College.
The Mustangs took game one in a 2-1 win over the Bacone Warriors. Sophomore pitcher, Ciara Fraher, allowed only two hits in the first game of the series. Senior, Dede Perez led the offense with two singles and a sacrifice bunt.
Game two started off with the Warriors taking a 0-4 lead by the fourth inning. The game ended in a shutout with the an 8-0 score with Bacone taking the win. Game three of the series started off with a two run Mustang lead into the sixth inning. The Warriors were able to bring two acrross to tie the game 2-2. Bacone took the win in the bottom of the eighth. The Mustangs had two outs on the Warriors but Bacone was able to bring a single run in to end the game.
Fraher notched two singles to lead the offense and allowing only one earned run while yielding eight hits. Both teams then played a non-conference addtional game won by Bacone by an 8-1 score. Marissa Valles had a single and a solo shot over the right center field fence for the Mustangs lone tally.
