About University of the Southwest Athletics

University of the Southwest has been home of Mustang Athletics since 1994. The first sports at USW were softball, baseball, and volleyball. Men's and Women's Basketball joined Mustang Athletics in 2008. Since then, USW athletics has grown to 13 men's and women's athletic programs.

The Mustangs are members of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) which includes 15 schools in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. USW and the Red River Athletic Conference are under the national governing body of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
