Jacoby Taylor joined the USW family in August 2004 as a student. In 2008, Taylor graduated with a bachelor's of business administration. He became part of the USW staff in May 2010 as a recruiting specialist.
Shortly after starting his new duties as a recruiting specialist, he accepted an additional role to serve as Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball.
This will be Coach Taylor's second year with the Mustangs; he led the 2010-2011 JV team to a new USW record for the most wins at the University of the Southwest. Taylor's previous coaching experiences are two years coaching football at Highland Jr. High in Hobbs, and three years coaching football at Hobbs freshman school. He primarily coached defensive backs and wide receivers.
