Coach Garrett Bertola is entering his first year in 2012 with the Mustang coaching staff. Garrett graduated from Hobbs High School in 2007 where he was the District 4-5A player of the year during his senior season under head coach Tim Philips. He went on to continue his baseball career for the Mustangs here at the University of the Southwest. Garrett pitched four years for the Mustangs under head coach Mike Galvan and graduated in December of 2011 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. His primary role will be directing the Mustang pitching staff. Along with coaching, Garrett is also the Sports Information Webmaster and is in charge of the statistics for the athletic department as well as certain areas of the athletic website.
