Hobbs, NM - Karina Holsapple signed to play with the Mustangs for the 2013 season. Holsapple will be an incoming freshman to USW from Santa Theresa High School (NM). Holsapple, 5'6" setter, has been a two year varsity starter for the Santa Theresa Warriors.

Hobbs, NM - Mustang Volleyball received another commitment for the 2013 season as Caitlin Fellers, from Glen Rose Texas, signed a letter of intent to play for USW. Fellers is a 5'10" Outside Hitter and will be a 2013 graduate from Glen Rose High School (TX).

Hobbs, NM (5/1/2013) – The Mustang Softball team is headed to Farmers Branch, TX as the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament is set to start on Thursday at Oran Good Park. The USW opens the tournament at 12:30 p.m. against Langston University.

Hobbs, NM (April 29, 2013) – Although the season did not pan out the way the Mustangs hoped for in 2013, the season ended on a bright note as they won their final contest of the year over Texas College 12-5 in Tyler, TX. One week later Carlos Rodriguez earned the honor of 1^st Team All-Conference 3^rd baseman while Bryan Hernandez was named 2^nd Team All-Conference outfielder. Rene Hernandez took home a spot on the Champions of Character Team for 2013 as well.

With a 9-5 victory in the first game and 12-11 victory that came in walk-off fashion, the Mustangs took two out of three games from LSU-Shreveport over the weekend to win their second Red River Athletic Conference series of the year.
